We got a REALLY GOOD deal for some time at this studio for Friday night and Saturday. The producer/owner is someone we've worked with on a soundtrack several years ago, and he wanted to record some more surf. We've got 4 songs that we're gonna record live off the floor (baritone gtr, bass & drums). It should be really nice as the studio is a converted church. The room sound will play heavily into this one. If all goes as planned, we'll be releasing these as a 45rpm in the Fall.

First, we gotta get the new CD out. It is being mastered, and the artwork's done. Hopefully it'll be out in early Feb.

Here's the studio link:

I can't wait to hear the new CD, Mike! February will be here
in the blink of an eye. That's really cool about the free studio
time. Have fun!

Lang - Rush - Downchild Blues Band - Dan Hill - Chris De Burg - Joni Mitchell - Ian Thomas - Gino Vanelli - Celine Dion - Rawlin's Cross - Rita MacNeil - Lennie Gallant - Frank Mills - David Foster - Anne Murray - Bruce Guthro - Modabo - Bob Quinn - Waylon Jennings - Stompin' Tom Conners - Ricky Scaggs - Bryan Adams - Glass Tiger - Rick Deringer - Gordon Lightfoot - MacKeel - Hagood Hardy - Harry Connick Jr. - Roberta Flack - Levon Heim - Great Big Sea - Jeff Healey Band - Glamourpuss Blues Band - Randy Bachman - McGinty - Stan Rogers Tribute 1 &; 2 - Allison Kraus - Meatloaf - Natalie MacMaster and now...Urban Surf Kings

He's got a ton of stories, and one of his first records purchased was the Ventures Live in Japan!

Just got the mastered version back from the studio, and boy are we stocked! Like I said, it will be a while before these come out (Fall 2008). We're thinking that if we can get one of these Canadian labels to ante up, we'll go back into the studio and record enough tunes for a full length. The 4 we recorded will most likely be released as a 45rpm one way or another.
