Any gems found from acts that aren't really surf bands? These are some of my favorite bands that have recorded some surfy stuff but certainly aren't instrumental surf bands.
Reverend Horton Heat has a couple surf sounding instrumentals.
Hillbilly Hellcats had a great slow number aptly named Lazy Surfer.
Unknown Hinson's Unknown Hinson Theme is a great spy surf song.
Lesser known Jinx Jones, one of my favorite players, has a couple surfy instrumentals as well.

Found a couple viseos of Jinx Jones. It's cool I didn't even know he had a new record out.

Edit: I just got the Birth of Surf and found that Baja is a classic, that I somehow, had not heard before. Whoops!

In fact best instrumental surf, just with a bit distorted guitars instead of reverb, that`s it. Smile Is there any other difference? ...no!

Twang cheers!

"Instrumental As Anything"
Written by Martin Murphy (a/k/a Martin Plaza). Produced by Cameron Allan.
From the UK Virgin 45, which was leased from Regular in Australia. This instrumental was the flipside of “The Nips Are Getting Bigger” in both Australia and the UK. “Nips” was the band’s first UK

I don't recall where I heard this but long before I got into surf I thought this was pretty cool...

Thanks Ramora, been wanting to get that album for a long time.
My last tattoo, and probably my favorite, is from the Meteors; Frankenstein's monster playing stand up bass. Found a pic online, tattooist must've posted it.

Here's a couple of my favorites. I've posted them before:

Great album BTW.

Chris

I've always liked this one.

Four String Fender for The Delstroyers & The Woodhavens

Raito, great find, and some fine picking by Stuart. Who says Teles can't surf?
